Setup a Wallet

What are web3 games?

Sequence (Easiest)

Process Overview

Select your Social Sign On option.
Sign in to the respective account.
Wait a little bit for it to setup a wallet for you.
Agree to TOS.
Sign the sign-in message.

Full Steps (Sequence)

If you haven't used Sequence in your browser before, it will ask you what Social Sign-On you'd like to use. You can choose from several options, including Google, Facebook, Discord, Email, etc. You can click "Show More options" for more choices.

Once you've selected an option, the respective sign-on for that platform should open in a pop-up. Go ahead and sign in.

It may take a while for the initial setup to generate a wallet for you and tie it to your sign-in. You won't need to manage anything so just sit tight.

You may be asked to agree to a Terms of Use. Please review these and accept them at your discretion.

After you've agreed to the TOS, you'll be asked to "sign a message". This is just the crypto-way to prove you're you, or to authorize things in some cases.

For ei8hts, you're simply signing that you're the owner, and that you'll be using this wallet for your account.

That's it, you're all set. You're free to now! You may sometimes have to sign back in and sign the same or a similar message.

Metamask (Crypto-Native)

Process Overview

1. Click "Install MetaMask for [your browser]."
2. Follow the prompts.
Create an Account / Wallet
1. Click the extension in the upper right corner
2. You'll be prompted to create a new password.
3. Accept the TOS
4. Save your "Secret Words" / "Secret Backup Phrase" (keep these private from everyone, 100% of the time) This functions as your wallet backup and provides full access to it. Do not share this backup.

Full Steps

We don't recommend the mobile app for Metamask. Compatibility and reliability is a bit worse (in our experience) vs. the desktop app/extension.
